TTF ACCESS FUND: INTRO TO TAIKO WORKSHOP Tuesday July 7, 6:30-8:30PM Instructor: Wy-J (RAW Member) Toronto Taiko Festival has offered ASL interpretation for panels and spoken portions of our festival concerts in the past; this year, we are fundraising to be able to offer ASL interpretation at some of our workshops, creating accessibility for d/Deaf and hard of hearing community members to participate at the drums! To raise funds, we’ll be offering an introductory level taiko workshop at Studio RAW. All are welcome - no prior taiko experience necessary. Come experience the joy and power of playing taiko together, while supporting the creation of more accessible taiko space in Toronto. Cost: Sliding Scale donation starting at $25 + HST. All proceeds will go towards our ASL Interpretation fund for TTF 2026 (August 7-9). CONCERT TICKET DRAW!: As a thank you for ✨donating generously✨, all registrants will be entered into a draw to win a FREE pair of concert tickets to our Bang On! Festival concert, August 8th at Randolph Theatre. The draw will take place in-person, at the end of the workshop. Donations: If you’d like to support but aren’t available for the workshop, we are also accepting donations via e-transfer or paypal to info@rawtaiko.ca (please include “ASL Fund” in the memo!) Studio RAW Accessibility: - The studio is located on the 2nd floor of 1220 Dupont St. It is up 1 flight of stairs with handrail, outfitted with a single person stair lift. - There is one small all-gender restroom. - The studio is a masked space - masks provided for free at the door for those who need one.
