Service Description

Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8:00pm April 15 - June 3 (8 sessions) Lead Instructor: Wy-J (RAW Member) Naname style taiko is played with the drum on a slanted stand. Started by Sukeroku Taiko in Tokyo, it was brought over to North America by San Francisco Taiko Dojo founder, Seiichi Tanaka. It has become the most popular form of taiko drumming form in North America, due its dynamic movement possibilities. Classes will include warm-up, learning stance, form, hits, drills and a song. Previous taiko or movement experience is recommended, but not mandatory. Sliding scale $275-$350 + HST
